Over the past 50 years both parties sold out America and put democracy on the auction block. This is the cause that affects all other causes! We can’t save ourselves without saving our democracy. We are fighting for the third emancipation in American history – to free our democracy from the grip of big money. It will take a democracy movement, and we will benefit from the radical happiness of trying to change this country.
For the first time in our history a social movement has the social majority behind it. The person you are trying to recruit is likely to be on your side. He finished his talk with the following. Please stand up. Look at the palms of your hands. Did you ever think such a huge responsibility would be in your hands? Please shake hands with the person on your left and on your right and say repeatedly “we can do it; we will do it”.
