We will succeed in this critically important work because we must. The current state of our Executive and Legislative branches of our government is embarrassing to millions of Americans and to the world. Our people’s voices are being drowned out and our power to govern is slipping away. We cannot leave this country as it currently is for our children and grandchildren. We must fix these major problems if we are to move forward successfully as a nation. And we have a long history that says we can do it. We the People can be extremely powerful if we stand together as human beings protecting our rights.
There are many, many groups around the country eagerly working to solve these problems. We need them to come together around a common set of goals and objectives and help them to accomplish them.
We need to organize and rally the people of this country to rise up and take action. We need to grow a movement that is too big to be ignored. This movement will utilize our main weapons, the power to vote and the freedom to speak and express our wishes to those in power. We will gather and speak in large numbers. We will make our voices heard. It will be clear to those in power that they will no longer get our votes unless they sign a pledge – the Candidate’s Pledge to reform our corrupted government. They will know we are serious because millions of us will sign the People’s Pledge to vote for those who sign the Candidate’s Pledge. Hundreds of new candidates who truly support the people, and who agree not to accept large sums of money from corporations, Super PACS and billionaires, will come forward to run for office, and we will vote for them.
And you and your friends and neighbors can be as much a part of this movement as you choose. But we will need your commitment to help in whatever way works best for you.
